Commencement, it is said, is a beginning. Yet graduations are also the end of an era--for students and their parents. For the kids, it's a time of excitement and promise. For parents, it's a bit more bittersweet.
What will the future hold for the Class of 2015? Time will tell.
My youngest has now graduated from high school. Back in 1980, I was the youngest of my family who graduated.

Sullivan jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and never trailed in a 6-4 win over Carl Junction at Missouri Southern University in Joplin. Matt Foster pitched five and one/third innings for the win. Jake Lochner closed it out. The Eagles advance to state at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon next week.
