Wright Powers USA Past Puerto Rico

David Wright drove in five runs to power Team USA to a 7-1 win over Puerto Rico in their first game of their second round World Baseball Classic pool in Miami. Wright had an RBI fielder's choice in the third and an RBI single in the fifth, followed by a three-run double in the eighth. Joe Mauer and Adam Jones also drove in runs while Gio Gonzalez turned in a stellar outing on the mound. Gonzalez tossed five innings of three-hit ball while striking out five for the Americans.
