Spain will not repeat as World Cup champion. The 2010 winners were ousted from
contention in a 2-0 loss to Chile on Wednesday in front of a largely pro-Chile
crowd in Rio de Janeiro. Spain had been routed 5-1 by the Netherlands in its
opener in a rematch of the final from four years ago. Earlier, the Netherlands
earned a 3-2 win over Australia in an entertaining back-and-forth thriller,
while Croatia eliminated Cameroon with a 4-0 rout.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

Denver Bronco fans are celebrating their team's dominating 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he celebrated late into the night. Manning lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career in what might have been his final game. Manning turns 40 next month and is expected to retire.
