U.S. Soccer Rallies Past Panama, World Cup Next

The U.S. mens national soccer team shocked Panama 3-2 after scoring twice in stoppage time of the second half in a World Cup qualifying match Tuesday. The U.S. had already qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The qualifying stage ended with the Americans' win helping Mexico into a playoff series for the right to go to Brazil.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
