Three More Teams Advance To NCAA Tournament

Three more teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday. LIU Brooklyn punched its third straight ticket to the "Big Dance" after cruising past Mount St. Mary's 91-70 in the Northeast Conference Tournament Championship game. South Dakota State knocked off North Dakota State 73-67 to capture its second straight Summit League title and a second consecutive trip to the NCAA tourney. Valparaiso earned its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2004 after beating Wright State 62-54 in the Horizon League final. Another NCAA Tournament berth is on the line Wednesday as Bucknell battles Lafayette for the Patriot League title.

Missouri State's Nathan Scheer was one of nearly 900 men's college basketball players recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches with the release of the 2013-14 NABC Honors Court. To be recognized on the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior varsity player with a cumulative 3.20 grade point average or higher at the conclusion of the season.
