Florida leapfrogged Wichita State for second place, with the 27-and-0 Shockers now third. Arizona fell from third to fourth after a double-overtime loss to Arizona State on Friday. Louisville is fifth. Duke, San Diego State, Kansas, Cincinnati and Saint Louis round out the top-10. Pittsburgh and Oklahoma dropped out of the this week's top-25.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Union Senior Bethany Coons. Bethany finished the basketball season at Union averaging 11 points and eight assists per game. Coach Dusty Weiskopf says Bethany is good at handling the basketball and teams would find it difficult to press Union when Bethany was in the game because of her lateral movement. When combining her scoring and assist averages, Bethany was contributing about 25 points per game.

The logical first question the world is asking is why? We ask this not only to make some sort of rational sense out of the irrational act, but also so that we can try to prevent something like it from happening again.
