Steven Jackson Signs With Falcons

Steven Jackson is heading to Atlanta. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons have agreed to a three-year contract with the longtime Rams running back. The 29-year-old had spent his entire nine-year career with St. Louis, rushing for more than 10-thousand yards and 56 touchdowns. Jackson has eight straight thousand-yard seasons.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Legion Baseball Player Spencer Juergens from Washington Post 218. As a pitcher, Spencer is currently 6-0 with 32 strike outs and only four walks. He's given up seven runs, three earned over 36 innings and his ERA is .736. As a hitter, Spencer's average is .500 with 14 rbi's and 11 runs scored. In 44 official at bats, Spencer has struck out just five times with two walks.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
