Sharks Quiet Blues In Battle Of Unbeatens

Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton each had a goal and two assists as the Sharks skated to a 6-2 win over the Blues at Scottrade Center. Roman Polak and Vladimir Tarasenko each found the back of the net for St. Louis in defeat. Jaroslav Halak allowed four goals on 26 shots before giving way to Brian Elliott, who stopped 11 of the 13 shots he faced. The Blues suffered their first lost to fall to 4-and-1. The Blues are at Chicago tomorrow night.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game.
