Senior Legion Baseball

Post 218 didn't get a chance to play for the championship of the Post 218 Wood Bat Tournament Sunday evening. Washington had defeated Manchester 11-1 in six innings earlier in the day and Jefferson City Post 5 had finished off an 8-6 come from behind win over Jackson, but rain and lightening moved in shortly after the second semifinal dashing any hopes of a title game match up between two of the best senior legion teams in the state. Washington currently stands at 17-3 while Post 5 is undefeated at 20-0.

Washington is back in action Tuesday night with a 9th District game at Warrenton. Game time is 6:00 at Warrenton High School. It will be broadcast live on KLPW-AM 1220.

A generation of baby boomers is learning that, while they can't reverse age, they certainly can embrace life!
