Scott Suggs-Athlete of the Week

Washington High School graduate and University of Washington men's basketball player Scott Suggs has been named the Go-Huskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of December 10th-through-16th. Suggs averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, shooting 60% from the field and 55.6% from 3-point range in helping Washington to a 2-0 record during the week. Suggs poured in a career-high 24 points, grabbed five rebounds, had two steals and two assists as the Huskies won an Emerald City battle at Seattle University 87-74 on Thursday. The senior made 7-of-10 shots, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and was perfect from the line (8-8). Besides setting new career highs in points, his five rebounds and two steals equaled previous personal bests. Suggs' efforts helped Washington win their first road game of the season for just the second time in Lorenzo Romar's 11-year coaching career.
