Rockies Double Up Cardinals

The Rockies pounded out 17 hits on their way to a 10-5 win over the Cardinals at Coors Field. Nick Greenwood allowed three runs in an-inning-and-a-third of relief work to suffer the loss for St. Louis. Jhonny Peralta hit a two-run blast for the Cardinals while Matt Carpenter and Allen Craig drove in a run each. Marco Gonzales will make his Major League debut on the hill tonight as the series resumes.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.

Johnathan Williams, III and Namon Wright scored 10 points each, but Georgia strengthened its NCAA tournament hopes with a runaway 68-44 win over Missouri on Saturday. Missouri (8-21, 2-14 Southeastern Conference) couldn't manage a second straight win after ending a 13-game losing streak by beating Florida 64-52 on Tuesday night.
