Rams Prepare For Seahawks Monday Night

The Rams are prepping for the national spotlight in Week Eight. They play the NFC West rival Seahawks on "Monday Night Football" at the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams will look to bounce back from Sunday's 30-15 loss at Carolina that has them back under .500 at 3-and-4. Seattle leads the division at 6-and-1. These teams split their two meetings last season.

The Rams expressed at least mild interest in signing former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre, according to multiple reports. The Rams wouldn't comment on the reports. They did work out veteran Tyler Thigpen and signed two other quarterbacks earlier in the week in trying to add depth behind new starter Kellen Clemens.

It came as a shock to a lot of people to find out that the contract for the Union license office, which has been operated by the Union Chamber of Commerce since the 1970's, was being turned over to a for-profit company based out of Jefferson City.

What happened? It's a classic case of two all-too-common phenomena in the world of government--unintended consequences and the revolving door.
