Rams Give Free Tickets To Three Local High Schools

The Rams are making a connection with some of the high school players affected by the events going on in Ferguson. St. Louis gave away free tickets to football players from McCluer High, McCluer North and McCluer South for its preseason game against Green Bay last weekend. This comes amid the protests and rioting that's followed the recent shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a local police officer.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Legion Baseball Player Spencer Juergens from Washington Post 218. As a pitcher, Spencer is currently 7-0 with 36 strike outs and only four walks. He's given up seven runs, three earned over 43 innings and his ERA is .736. As a hitter, Spencer's average is .520 with 16 rbi's and 13 runs scored. In 44 official at bats, Spencer has struck out just five times with two walks.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
