Rams Fall Short Against Falcons

The Rams fell behind 21-0 in the second quarter and lost 31-24 to the Falcons in Atlanta. Julio Jones had 11 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown for Atlanta. Sam Bradford threw for 352 yards, three touchdowns and an interception as the Rams dropped to 1-and-1. Tavon Austin had two TD catches in defeat. The Rams next game is Sunday at Dallas.

The Rams faced former running back Steven Jackson for the first time yesterday. He had just three carries for a net zero yards, but did have an eight-yard touchdown reception. Jackson left the game with a thigh injury and did not return. The Rams' all-time rushing leader signed with the Falcons as a free agent after nine seasons with St. Louis.
