Rams Fall in Dallas

DeMarco Murray exploded for 175 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, while Tony Romo threw for three scores, as Dallas pounded St. Louis, 31-7, in Week 3 action. Romo finished at 17-of-24 efficiency for 210 yards for the Cowboys (2-1), who bounced back from a one-point loss in Kansas City last week. Dez Bryant, Gavin Escobar and Dwayne Harris all posted a receiving TD, with Jason Witten leading the pack with 67 yards on five catches. Sam Bradford ended up with 240 yards passing and a score to Austin Pettis on 29-of-48 completions for the Rams (1-2), who have dropped two in a row.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.

Paul Stastny netted the game-winner with 5:40 to play to give the Blues a 2-1 win over the Oilers at Rexall Place. Dmitrij Jaskin found the back of the net as well and Brian Elliot had 21 saves. The victory was St. Louis's fourth straight on the road. Ben Scrivens gave up both goals on 27 shots for Edmonton, which has dropped five of its last seven. Justin Schultz scored the Oilers' lone goal in the loss.
