Rams Best Bucs

Zac Stacy ran for 104 yards and a touchdown as the Rams beat the Buccaneers 23-13 at the Edward Jones Dome. Wide receiver Stedman Bailey added a 27-yard TD run for the 7-and-8 Rams, who close out the season next Sunday in Seattle. Kellen Clemens finished 16-of-20 for 158 yards, while Greg Zuerlein nailed all three of his field goal tries including a 54-yarder in the victory. Mike Glennon was 16-of-26 for 158 yards for Tampa, which ends the year at New Orleans next weekend. Bobby Rainey scored the lone touchdown for the Bucs in the first quarter but was held to just 37 yards on 20 carries in defeat.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Volleyball Player Jordan Kriete from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Jordan played all the way around on a team that finished the season 26-7-2. Her statistics are impressive.

When people threaten violence or blankly label one as a racist, it's very hard to listen. The same holds true for those who sum up the plight of impoverished black communities as "that's how those people are."

The St. Louis Cardinals are exercising the 2015 option on pitcher John Lackey. The 36-year-old right-hander will earn the league minimum 500-thousand-dollars after making 15.25-million each of the last three seasons. Lackey was acquired from Boston at the trade deadline and his contract had a clause allowing for a league-minimum option after missing the entire 2012 season due to elbow surgery.
