Post, Big Men Lead Tigers to Easy 85-66 Win vs. MSU

The Missouri men's basketball squad reached 20 wins for the sixth consecutive season as the Tigers used an unselfish approach and a dominating post presence to blow out Mississippi State, 85-66, on Saturday. Eight different players found the scoring column behind a season-high 19 assists as a team. Junior guard Jabari Brown led the way with 21 points and five rebounds, but most of the Tigers' production came down low Freshman forward Keanau Post provided a boost off the bench, notching a career-high 14 points and seven rebounds, helping the Tigers outscore Mississippi State 40-26 in the paint. In all, the Tiger big men - Post, Ryan Rosburg, Torren Jones and Johnathan Williams III - collectively shot 15-of-16 (93.8%) from the field. Mizzou (20-9, 8-8) has now earned 150 victories over a six-year span, which is the best run in school history.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

4 days 12 hours ago

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Union Senior Bethany Coons. Bethany finished the basketball season at Union averaging 11 points and eight assists per game. Coach Dusty Weiskopf says Bethany is good at handling the basketball and teams would find it difficult to press Union when Bethany was in the game because of her lateral movement. When combining her scoring and assist averages, Bethany was contributing about 25 points per game.

On March 24, 2015, Lufthansa Airlines pilot Andreas Lubitz steered a planeful of passengers into the French Alps, killing 150 people in a grisly act of murder/suicide.

The logical first question the world is asking is why? We ask this not only to make some sort of rational sense out of the irrational act, but also so that we can try to prevent something like it from happening again.
