Oshie Has Another Ankle Surgery

The Blue revealed yesterday that forward T.J. Oshie underwent left ankle surgery. Oshie had been placed on injured reserve on April 2nd and is considered week-to-week with the club on the cusp of the postseason. The 26-year-old totaled seven goals and 13 assists in 30 games. Oshie went under the knife for a fractured ankle in November of 2010 and missed almost three months.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Baseball Player Kyle Ruediger from New Haven High School. At the plate, Kyle has a team leading .486 average with 14 rbi, two triples and six doubles. He has struck out just five times while drawing 11 walks. Kyle has seven stolen bases on the year. He plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Early Thursday morning, I received news that vandals had broken in to St. Francis Borgia Grade School in Washington, causing extensive damage to several classrooms and offices. School was closed for the day as the Washington Police Department went about their business of securing what had changed from a school community to a crime scene overnight.
