No Progress After Second Day Of NHL Labor Talks With Mediator

The NHL and the Players' Association met with federal mediators for a second straight day on Thursday, but there was no progress made once again in the ongoing labor dispute. The two sides also met with mediators on November 28th and 29th but those talks broke off without any progress. A total of 526 regular season games, the Winter Classic and the All-Star Game have already been cancelled due to the lockout.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.
