The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Sullivan Senior Baseball Player Matt Foster. Matt pitched a no hitter against Union in a game at GCS Ballpark in Illinois Friday night. He struck out 13 batters and walked four while throwing 111 pitches. He also had one hit in the game. Matt is also very good with the bat. His .520 average and 14 runs batted in leads the team.

This may be an alarming fact to a number of people, especially conservatives who do not trust President Obama on this issue. The fact is, however, that this trend has been going on for decades.

Union 8 New Haven 5. Union racked up an 8-0 lead, then New Haven rallied with five runs in the seventh, but the Wildcats held on for the 8-5 win. Kendall Sheler was the winning pitcher as Union improved to 3-1 in conference play. For New Haven, Andrew Menke had two hits and two batted in. Matthew Clines suffered the loss.
