NFL Draft Begins Tonight

The NFL Draft begins tonight with the first round at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The Houston Texans have the first overall pick. The Rams will follow with the second pick and also have the 13th overall selection. Rounds two and three are Friday, with four through seven on Saturday.

The Houston Texans are on the clock as the first round of the NFL Draft takes place tonight at New York's Radio City Music Hall. If they don't trade down, Houston is projected to select South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the top pick. Outside of Clowney, other players expected to go high in the draft include Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson, Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins, Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack and former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

Denver Bronco fans are celebrating their team's dominating 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he celebrated late into the night. Manning lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career in what might have been his final game. Manning turns 40 next month and is expected to retire.
