New Coaches Hired at Washington High

Grant Young spent one year at Union as the varsity girls basketball coach. He guided the Lady Wildcats to a 16-9 record. It was announced at last night's Washington School Board meeting that Coach Young has been tabbed as the new varsity boys coach at Washington High School. In addition, the board hired Adam Meyer as the new JV boys coach. Young replaces Chip Sodemann and Meyer replaces Josh Hall.
It was revealed back in March that Sodemann was leaving Washington to take the reigns as coach of the new Wentzville-Liberty High School program.

Early Thursday morning, I received news that vandals had broken in to St. Francis Borgia Grade School in Washington, causing extensive damage to several classrooms and offices. School was closed for the day as the Washington Police Department went about their business of securing what had changed from a school community to a crime scene overnight.
