Mizzou Mauls Florida

Maty Mauk tossed for 295 yards, a touchdown and an interception as the Missouri Tigers topped the then 22nd-ranked Florida Gators 36-17 at Faurot Field on Saturday. Mauk added 15 yards and a score on the ground while Henry Josey rushed for a game high 136 yards and a TD for Missouri, which improved to 7-and-0 and 3-and-0 in the SEC. Mizzou is fifth in the first BCS Standings. The Tigers host South Carolina on Saturday.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.

Paul Stastny netted the game-winner with 5:40 to play to give the Blues a 2-1 win over the Oilers at Rexall Place. Dmitrij Jaskin found the back of the net as well and Brian Elliot had 21 saves. The victory was St. Louis's fourth straight on the road. Ben Scrivens gave up both goals on 27 shots for Edmonton, which has dropped five of its last seven. Justin Schultz scored the Oilers' lone goal in the loss.
