Erik Murphy led a balanced attack with 15 points to lead ninth-ranked Florida to an 83-52 win over number-16 Missouri Saturday at the O'Connell Center. The Gators shot 59-percent to just 33-percent for the Tigers. Mizzou fell to 13-and-4 overall and 2-and-2 in SEC play. The Tigers return home to play South Carolina tomorrow night.
The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Trent Leimkuehler. Trent has put up some impressive numbers so far this season. The Post 218 Center fielder is currently hitting .551 with 20 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. He has two home runs, two triples and eight doubles. He also plays good defense in the outfield with good speed and a strong arm.

On Memorial Day in Washington, MO, several hundred people gathered at Rennick Riverfront Park to remember the sacrifices made by members of our nation's military past and present.
The Washington Wood Bat Tournament gets underway today. Washington will play two games back to back at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. Manchester is the first opponent at 1:00 followed by a match up with Thoman Boothe at 3:30. Our next broadcast game is Friday evening when Washington plays Dunklin County at 7:30 at Ronsick Field. Post 218 is 12-3 going into the tournament which will run through Sunday evening.
