Missouri Overcomes Northwestern

Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points, leading four starters in double figures, as the Missouri Tigers captured a 78-67 win over the Northwestern Wildcats in the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena. Jabari Brown added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers, while Ryan Rosburg and Johnathan Williams both delivered 14 points, the latter adding eight rebounds to match Brown in that department. The Tigers improved to 6-0. It was the first game back for Coach Frank Haith who had been suspended for the first five game of the season for violations while coaching at Miami.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Softball Player Megan Micke. The Junior Shortstop had a terrific start to the season helping the Jays to a second place finish in the Union Tournament Saturday. In three games, Megan had 11 plate appearances, eight official at-bats, four hits, including a double, an rbi, a stolen base with six runs scored, three walks and two strike outs.
