Missouri Falls to No. 1 Florida in SEC Quarterfinals

Michael Frazier II and Scottie Wilbekin had 15 points apiece and No. 1 Florida pulled away for a 72-49 win over Missouri in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday. The game was tied at halftime but the Gators (30-2) outscored the Tigers 43-20 the rest of the way to extend their school-record winning streak to 24 games. Dorian Finney-Smith added 10 points for Florida, which will face Tennessee in Saturday's semifinals. Jabari Brown had 18 points to lead eighth-seeded Missouri (22-11), which beat Texas A&M 91-83 in overtime on Thursday to make the semifinals.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Union Post 297 Senior American Legion Baseball Player Trey Fink. Earlier this season in a game against St. Peters, Trey pitched a complete game with 11 strike outs and no walks in an 8-1 win. He also went the distance in a tough luck 6-1 loss to Washington. He only gave up four hits with 13 strike outs and one walk. Time and again, Trey has proven his ability to go deep into games.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.

The Washington Seniors played two games Sunday and finished 1-1 for the day. Post 218 thrashed Pacific 29-4 with Mitch Barrow posting five hits. In the second game, Washington lost to Warrenton 4-3 at Warrenton High School. Ben Stephens pitched a complete game with nine strike outs and five walks to post the win. The game was tied at two after the first inning.
