Michael Wacha Undergoes MRI

Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha was prescribed another two weeks of rest after having an MRI on his injured right shoulder. St. Louis put Wacha on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture on June 23rd and will re-evaluate him in about two weeks. Wacha is 5-and-5 with a 2.79 ERA in 15 starts in just his second year in the big leagues.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.
