The Cardinals fell to the Mets 3-2 in Grapefruit League play. St. Louis mustered little offense except for the third inning when Jason Heyward notched an RBI triple and Matt Holliday added a sac fly. Lefty Marco Gonzales calmed down after a rough start, pitching four-and-two thirds innings and allowing a run on three hits. Five spring games remain for the Cards, who host the Nationals today.
