The girls semifinals in Class 4 District 9 at Pacific.
Pacific 56 Owensville 35. The Lady Indians were led by Elizabeth Almo and Ashley Hill with 15 points apiece. Emily Ellis scored 10 for the Dutchgirls.

Sullivan beat Borgia 51-42 behind 14 points from Taylor Lucas and 13 from Sierra Pryor. Borgia was led by Janie Arand with 14.

Looking ahead to Saturday....

The Class 4 District 9 Tournament wraps up with the girls final between Sullivan and Pacific at 6:00, followed by the boys title game between Borgia and Sullivan at 7:30.
Both will be broadcast live on AM 1220.

Elsewhere...

Two girls teams from the Four Rivers Conference have state playoff quarterfinal games....

Class 2-New Haven will play Neelyville at the Farmington Civic Center. New Haven is 19-10 and Neelyville is 22-8

Class 3-St. James will face Ash Grove at Drury University in Springfield. St. James is 24-4 while Ash Grove is 24-6.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.
