Fort Zumwalt North 6 Washington 3. Camron Shipley suffered the loss as the Jays drop to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the GAC Central. The Panthers improve to 8-6 and 3-3.

Borgia 7 Trinity 0. Justin Horace was 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run and two batted in. Spencer Juergens had two hits and three batted in. Evan Ayers and John Himmelberg combined for the two hit shutout. Ayers got the win.

Girls Soccer...
Borgia 3 Trinity 0. Emily Grahl scored all three goals.

Warrenton and Kennedy played to a scoreless tie.

Incarnate Word 5 Union 1. Karlie Peth scored the lone goal for Union

Borgia defeated North Tech 25-14 25-16. It's the second win of the season for Borgia.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Softball Player Megan Micke. The Junior Shortstop had a terrific start to the season helping the Jays to a second place finish in the Union Tournament Saturday. In three games, Megan had 11 plate appearances, eight official at-bats, four hits, including a double, an rbi, a stolen base with six runs scored, three walks and two strike outs.

None have been as difficult to watch, however, as the annexation battle in Washington--which pitted good people who care about their community against good people who care about their community.
