Class 4 District 4 Championship Game...
The Westminster Wildcats beat Pacific 7-6 with a walk-off hit off the bat of Travis Ralls. The line drive to left plated Brett Bond, who started the seventh with a single. He ended the day with three hits and two runs scored. Pacific trailed by five late but rallied with a two run homer from Hank Vandaveer in the sixth and three runs in the seventh. Ryan Howell suffered the loss and Caleb Hicks picked up the win. Pacific ends the season with a 16-7 record while the Wildcats advance to the sectional with a 27-5 record.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
