Baseball...
Washington beat Holt 4-1 at Ronsick Field. Aaron Meyer pitched a complete game with three strike outs and two walks. Matt McGilvray had two hits with a run scored. Seth Bollmann and Austin Finder had two hits apiece as Washington improved to 11-9 and 3-4. Holt had it's eight game winning streak snapped. Devin Pettit suffered the loss.

Warrenton scored three runs in the seventh to beat Union 7-6.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Legion Baseball Player Spencer Juergens from Washington Post 218. As a pitcher, Spencer is currently 6-0 with 32 strike outs and only four walks. He's given up seven runs, three earned over 36 innings and his ERA is .736. As a hitter, Spencer's average is .500 with 14 rbi's and 11 runs scored. In 44 official at bats, Spencer has struck out just five times with two walks.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.

Seniors
Washington Post 218 improved to 16-1 overall and 11-1 in the 9th district with a doubleheader sweep of O'Fallon Sunday at Ronsick Field. In game one, Washington jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first inning on route to an 11-4 win. Matt Miller made it stand with a complete game three hitter with 13 strike outs and three walks. Justin Baylard doubled twice and Ross Seitter had a pair of singles.
Game two final 7-1.
