Boys...
St. Francis Borgia opened play in the Ameritime Classic Tournament with a 56-52 win over Parkway Central. The Knights advance to the semifinal to face top seed Hazelwood Central Wednesday at 7:00.

The Union Boys Tournament got underway with two games. Pacific had no problem with Jefferson 71-32 and St. Clair beat Crystal City 48-34.

Girls...
The Hermann Tournament tipped off with four games....
At the High School...
Hermann over Montgomery County 70-13. Jamie Gleeson scored 19 for the Lady Bearcats.
Owensville downed St. Clair 52-36. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Allison Hinson with 20 points.
New Haven posted a 54-11 win over Wright City. Rachel Steinhoff and Kayla Meyer scored 12 apiece.
Chamois downed Warrenton 55-38. Miranda Brant led all scorers with 21 points.

Elsewhere...

The Borgia Lady Knights beat Lutheran St. Charles 67-64.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.

The Champions Tour comes to St. Louis for the Senior PGA Championship this week. This year's host course, Bellerive Country Club, has hosted the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Senior Open and two U.S. Mid-Amateur championships. The course will also host the 100th annual PGA Championship in 2018.
