St. James 53 Union 28. The Tigers were led by Jake Ford with 15 points and Brandon Ford scored 10 for Union. The Tigers improve to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference while Union drops to 2-6 and 0-2.

Pacific 60 New Haven 22. The Indians are 6-2 overall and 2-0 in league play.

St. Clair 84 Hermann 72. Adam Brott and Neyko Dominguez scored 15 apiece for the Bulldogs and Craig Winkelmann drained 19 and Matt Hug 16 for the Bearcats

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. His time of 1:59.20 set a new school record. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.49 and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven.

Lance Lynn tossed six scoreless frames to guide the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the opener of a three-game set. Lynn gave up just two hits and struck out nine to pick up the win. David Freese went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI and Allen Craig added a pair of hits, including a solo homer, and drove in three for the Cardinals, winners in four of their last five games.
