Class 2 District 4 at Crystal City...
New Haven 50 Barat Academy 25. Rachel Steinhoff scored 12 and Emily Kallmeyer pumped in 10. The Lady Shamrocks will face Valle Catholic in the Championship Friday night at 6:00.

Class 3 District 9 at Cuba...
St. James 81 Cuba 52. St. James will play in the championship game Saturday at 6:00

Class 3 District 6 at North Calloway...
Hermann 64 South Calloway 26

Local hoops away from the district tournaments...

Girls...
St. Clair 63 Hillsboro 42

Boys...
Pattonville 72 Sullivan 47. The Eagles will enter district play with a 17-8 record. Justin Biermann reached one thousand points for his high school career.

Washington beat Oakville 62-38. Ronnie Suggs poured in 23 for the Jays with Luke Schroepfer adding 16. Washington wraps up the regular season with a 17-9 record.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. His time of 1:59.20 set a new school record. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.49 and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven.

Lance Lynn tossed six scoreless frames to guide the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the opener of a three-game set. Lynn gave up just two hits and struck out nine to pick up the win. David Freese went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI and Allen Craig added a pair of hits, including a solo homer, and drove in three for the Cardinals, winners in four of their last five games.
