The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Trent Leimkuehler. Trent has put up some impressive numbers so far this season. The Post 218 Center fielder is currently hitting .551 with 20 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. He has two home runs, two triples and eight doubles. He also plays good defense in the outfield with good speed and a strong arm.
It's all about priorities.
On Memorial Day in Washington, MO, several hundred people gathered at Rennick Riverfront Park to remember the sacrifices made by members of our nation's military past and present.
The Cardinals and Cubs resume their four-game series from Busch Stadium tonight. Adam Wainwright takes the mound for St. Louis sporting a 10-and-3 record. Chicago counters with Jeff Samardzija, who is just 3-and-7 but carries a 3.46 ERA. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15.
