Holliday's Homer Enough As Cards Drop Cubs

Matt Holliday's first-inning homer was all Adam Wainwright needed as the Cardinals blanked the Cubs 1-0 at Wrigley Field. Wainwright improved to 13-and-5 after seven shutout innings and Trevor Rosenthal notched his 32nd save. St. Louis has won two straight since a four-game slide. Lance Lynn toes the rubber tomorrow night against the Padres.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
