Holliday, Cards Walk-Off On Pirates

Matt Holliday delivered a game-winning RBI-single in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift the Cardinals over the Pirates 6-5 at Busch Stadium. Holliday finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and Matt Carpenter went 4-for-5 with two runs while driving in one. Kevin Siegrist threw a perfect 12th to earn his first career win. St. Louis took two-out-of-three in the series and pulled within two games of Pittsburgh in the NL Central.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
