The Duchesne Pioneers swepped a doubleheader from the Borgia Knights 6-1 and 11-10 at Ronsick Field. Borgia drops to 9-4 overall and 1-3 in the AAA while the Pioneers improve to 6-8 and 3-2.
Elsewhere...
The Sullivan Eagles clinched the Four Rivers Conference title with a 8-6 win over the Pacific Indians in eight innings. Sullivan remains unbeaten in league play at 5-0 and 13-4 overall.
St. Clair beat Union 4-3
St. James edged Hermann 2-1
Washington is back on the rails following an 8-5 win over Fort Zumwalt South. The Jays are now 10-6 on the year.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Basketball Player Hailey Diestelkamp with the Owensville Dutchgirls. She recently became the all-time scoring leader at Owensville High School surpassing Katie Davis. Hailey played volleyball her first two years of high school, but after suffering an injury playing basketball last summer, she decided to focus on basketball this year. Hailey runs track in the spring.

It came as a shock to a lot of people to find out that the contract for the Union license office, which has been operated by the Union Chamber of Commerce since the 1970's, was being turned over to a for-profit company based out of Jefferson City.

What happened? It's a classic case of two all-too-common phenomena in the world of government--unintended consequences and the revolving door.

Saint Louis erased a nine-point second half deficit and had a shot to win it late, but fell 60-56 against UMass Saturday in a thrilling Atlantic 10 Conference game at Chaifetz Arena. It was the fourth loss in a row for the Billikens, who fall to 9-12 overall and 1-7 in league play. UMass improves to 12-9 overall and 5-3 in the A-10. The Billikens had the ball down by two with the shot clock off.
