New Haven led Crossroads 14-7 at the half, but then erupted for 21 third quarter points in a 48-27 victory last night. Kyle Ruediger scored 21 points with Seth Schenck adding 13. New Haven advances to the championship game to face Elsberry Friday night at 7:30. Elsberry beat Kingston 64-19.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-3 Senior Guard Walton Eckelkamp of the St. Francis Borgia Basketball Team. Walton was the MVP of the Union Tournament last week. He scored 21 points in the championship leading Borgia to a 66-54 win over Columbia Rock Bridge. He hit four three's, dished out four assists and pulled down three rebounds.

The Blues ripped off three goals in the second period as they blitzed the Wild, 4-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 26th goal of the year to start the scoring, with Jori Lehtera and Paul Stastny each adding goals in the second. Troy Brouwer added a goal in the third for St. Louis. Matt Dumba scored the lone goal for Minnesota, which has lost 10 of its past 11 games.
