The Borgia Girls Tournament wrapped up Saturday with three games....

Consolation-Cardinal Ritter 50 Washington 46. Kaitlin Evans scored 12 for the Lady Jays. Jayla Davis paced Ritter with 13.
Third Place-Helias 62 Borgia 46. Hagenhoff pumped in 19 for the Lady Crusaders. Borgia was led by Janie Arand with 15.
Championship-Parkway South 44 Troy 35. Becca Steins was the leading scorer with 17.

Away from the Tournament...
New Haven posted a 43-28 win over Elsberry. Rachel Steinhoff scored 17 for New Haven. Kayla Meyer added seven.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game.

I am a woman. I would be more than happy to have more money in my paycheck. Too bad the Paycheck Fairness Act won't do that for me. Who wants "equality" if it comes because everyone makes less money?

Nonetheless, the Paycheck Fairness Act is the latest weapon in the War On Women, part II--2014 election style.

Alexander Steen's goal 26 seconds into triple overtime gave the St. Louis Blues a hard-fought victory against the rival Chicago Blackhawks, but the stakes only get higher in Game 2 on Saturday at Scottrade Center.
