The St. James Lady Tigers ended the season with a win, taking third place in the MSHSAA High School Basketball State Championships. St. James beat North Tech 65-44 yesterday afternoon at Mizzou Arena. The Lady Tigers were led by Mary Buschmann with 21 points and Ashlee Marlatt with 19 as they ended the season with a 26-5 record under first year coach Terry Wells.
The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Anna Houston with the Union Track and Field Team. She was recently named the Girls Outstanding Performer in the Four Rivers Conference Meet at St. Clair High School. Anna ran in the district meet in Jefferson City Saturday and qualified for the sectional in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the long jump and the 4X400 Relay.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association Championship Track and Field competition will run today and tomorrow at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Boys and girls in classes 1 and 2 will compete.
