Haith Still Awaits NCAA Decision

The NCAA revealed yesterday that it found an issue of improper conduct within its enforcement program during the Miami-Florida athletics investigation. That means the NCAA will not deliver allegations against the Hurricanes' football and basketball programs until the facts surrounding the investigation are known. It also leaves former Miami basketball coach and current Missouri head coach Frank Haith in longer limbo while he waits to find out if he faces charges from the college sports governing body.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Owensville Sophomore Cross Country Runner Carter Bracato. Carter finished 13th in Class 3 with the best time of any local runner at state. He attacked the Oak Hill Golf Club Course in Jefferson City finishing with a time of 16:50.67, leading Owensville to a 6th place finish in the team standings.

The 2014/15 local high school basketball season tips off tonight with the 62nd Annual Thanksgiving Tournament at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. The first two games of the tournament between Cardinal Ritter and Rockwood Summit and McCluer North and Carnahan have been postponed. The Washington/CBC game is now scheduled for 7:00. It will be broadcast live on KLPW-AM 1220.
