Giants Rough Up Wainwright, Cardinals

Hunter Pence clubbed a three-run homer as the Giants popped the Cardinals 9-4 at Busch Stadium. Hector Sanchez and Gregor Blanco each knocked in two for San Francisco, which has won eight of its last nine. Madison Bumgarner improved to 7-and-3 after tossing seven shutout innings and allowing three hits and a walk while fanning ten. Adam Wainwright was rocked for seven runs in just four-and-a-third innings, falling to 8-and-3 for St. Louis. Jon Jay had a three-run double and Allen Craig doubled him in as the Cardinals lost their third straight.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

Denver Bronco fans are celebrating their team's dominating 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he celebrated late into the night. Manning lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career in what might have been his final game. Manning turns 40 next month and is expected to retire.
