Garcia To Undergo Surgery

Southpaw Jaime Garcia will undergo season ending surgery on Friday. The surgery is to address symptoms associated with thoracic outlet syndrome. The procedure will be done by Dr. Robert Thompson who confirmed the diagnosis. This will be the second surgery for Garcia in the last 14-months and is the same surgery that Chris Carpenter had in 2012.

She recently became the all-time scoring leader at Owensville High School surpassing Katie Davis. Hailey played volleyball her first two years of high school, but then decided to focus on basketball.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 1,000th career win on Sunday. The sixth-ranked Blue Devils rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half for a 77-68 victory over St. John's at Madison Square Garden. Duke closed out the game on a 26-7 run. The 67-year-old Krzyzewski is the first men's head coach in Division One history to reach 1,000 career wins. The Hall of Famer holds a career record of 1,000-and 308.
