Freese Hits DL For Cards

The Cardinals will start the season without third baseman David Freese. The team announced yesterday Freese will start the season on the disabled list due to his lingering back injury. The move comes a day after Freese seemed hopeful of being ready for Opening Day. St. Louis is targeting April 8th for Freese's return, which happens to be the Redbirds' home opener against the Reds.

In 44 official at bats, Spencer has struck out just five times with two walks.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
