Former Cardinal Clark Avoids Pujols Lawsuit

Former Cardinals sluggers Albert Pujols and Jack Clark have resolved a matter that could have resulted in Pujols moving forward with a lawsuit against Clark. Pujols agreed to drop his lawsuit after Clark issued a public retraction for his statements alleging that Pujols used illegal or banned performance-enhancing drugs, the "St. Louis Post Dispatch" reports. Pujols issued a statement saying he accepted Clark's apology and retraction.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Baseball Player Kyle Ruediger from New Haven High School. At the plate, Kyle has a team leading .486 average with 14 rbi, two triples and six doubles. He has struck out just five times while drawing 11 walks. Kyle also has seven stolen bases on the year. He plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Early Thursday morning, I received news that vandals had broken in to St. Francis Borgia Grade School in Washington, causing extensive damage to several classrooms and offices. School was closed for the day as the Washington Police Department went about their business of securing what had changed from a school community to a crime scene overnight.
