Jake Westbrook tossed his fourth career shutout in the St. Louis Cardinals' 10-0 rout of the Cincinnati Reds in the finale of a three-game set. Westbrook surrendered just five hits and four walks in the gem for the Cardinals, who have won four of their last five games. Matt Carpenter smacked a two-run homer among his four hits, while Carlos Beltran and Matt Adams added two-run shots. Jon Jay smacked a solo blast in the triumph. Homer Bailey allowed seven runs on nine hits and three walks over five frames for Cincinnati, which dropped the final two games of the set after winning the opener.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Scottie Upshall scored the game-winning goal early in the third period to help the Blues slip by the Blue Jackets 3-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko added his 14th goal of the season and Jake Allen made 23 saves to earn the win for St. Louis, which improved to 15-6-and-3. Ryan Johansen tallied the lone goal for Columbus, which had won two straight. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 31 shots in the loss.
