Dodgers Rip Cards

Hyun-Jin Ryu shut down the Cardinals' bats as the Dodgers picked up a 5-1 win to take three of four in St. Louis. The Cards' only run came because of a throwing error by Andre Ethier. Carlos Martinez took the loss in his first major league start and had to leave before the completion of the fifth inning with a right hand injury. The Cards are 2-and-4 in their last six games.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Sophomore Guard Kyra Hardesty. Kyra scored 59 points in a game against Pacific leading the Lady Jays to an 85-80 overtime win over the Lady Indians. She shot 61% from the floor, hit 20-of-33 field goal attempts, seven of 11 beyond the arc and 12-of-15 free throws. For the season, Kyra is averaging 21.4 points, three rebounds, 3.72 assists and 2.24 steals per game.

Missouri closes out its home schedule tonight against Auburn. The Tigers lost 68-44 at Georgia on Saturday. Mizzou has dropped 14 of its last 15 games to slip to 8-and-21 overall and 2-and-14 in the SEC. Auburn has lost four in-a-row to fall to 12-and-17 and 4-and-12.
