Dodgers Dump Cardinals

Adrian Gonzalez singled in the winning run in the top of the ninth to lift the Dodgers to a 4-3 win over the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Juan Uribe, Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier all singled in runs for Los Angeles, which avoided the three-game sweep. Shortstop Hanley Ramirez left the game in the ninth after getting hit by a pitch for the second time in the contest. J.P. Howell got the win in relief of Clayton Kershaw, who allowed three runs in seven innings. Kenley Jansen picked up save number 28. Trevor Rosenthal took the loss. Peter Bourjos tied the game at three with a two-run homer in the sixth.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

Denver Bronco fans are celebrating their team's dominating 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he celebrated late into the night. Manning lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career in what might have been his final game. Manning turns 40 next month and is expected to retire.
